Customers

At Odd Pup, when you buy a product online or contact us about an order, we collect your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing addresses (including street, zip code, city, and country) to process your order and handle returns, exchanges, and complaints. We also use this information to communicate with you about your order and answer any questions or comments you may have about the products. Your phone number is used to send you a text when your package is ready for pickup. The legal basis for collecting this data is to fulfill our contractual obligation with customers.

We store your purchase history to make returns, replacements, and complaints easier, based on our legitimate interest in facilitating the administration of these processes. If we need to process a manual refund through Paypal, we'll need your name and Paypal account information, which is based on our legal obligation. Odd Pup and TikTok Technology Ltd are joint controllers for the data processed through the Tiktok Pixel. The purpose of the processing is to track website usage, target advertisements, send promotional and transactional messages, and improve Odd Pup's website and marketing efforts.

Newsletter recipients

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to us processing your email for the purpose of delivering you updates about our products. The processing is based on a balance of interests, where it is in Odd Pup's legitimate interest to promote its offerings through the newsletter.

If at any point, you choose not to receive the newsletter, you can easily unsubscribe.

Account Holders

When you register as a customer on our website, we'll collect and process your name, email address, and shipping address to create and manage your account and to facilitate future orders. We may also access your Instagram account so you can review products you've purchased from us. The processing is based on the legal principle of balancing interests, where our legitimate interest is to give our customers an easy shopping experience and the ability to provide feedback on our products and services.

Does Odd Pup share your information with others? 

Odd Pup does not share or sell personal data with any other entity.

Affiliated companies, including companies within the Odd Pup group, joint ventures, franchisees, and licensees, may receive personal data. Third-party suppliers who provide technical support, delivery services, payment processing, promotional services, and data management on behalf of Odd Pup may also access personal data. These suppliers will only use personal data as instructed by Odd Pup and for no other purpose.

In the event of a potential or actual merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, Odd Pup may share personal data with potential or actual buyers and their financial and legal advisors, subject to confidentiality agreements.

How long do we keep your data?

General

Despite anything stated otherwise, Odd Pup reserves the right to retain and process your personal data as per this policy when necessary to fulfill its contractual obligations towards you, and to the extent required by law or to defend itself in a dispute, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce its Terms and Conditions.

Customers

Your email address will be kept on file for up to 36 months after your last purchase for direct marketing purposes, but you have the right to opt-out at any time. After the 36-month period, your email will be deleted or anonymized for statistical analysis.

Your name, contact information, and purchase history will be retained during the return and exchange period for the purpose of handling returns and exchanges.

If you raise a complaint, we may keep your data for as long as necessary to resolve the issue. Additionally, we may retain the complaint information for the remaining period in which you are legally entitled to file a complaint (i.e. three years after purchase) to prevent duplicated complaints and ensure fair compensation for the same issue.

Website Users

Your IP address will be deleted or anonymized no later than two weeks after your last visit on our website, in order to be used for statistical purposes. This storage is necessary for Odd Pup to create event logs for security incidents.

The personal data processed through the use of cookies or similar techniques will have a retention time in accordance with our Cookie Policy.

Newsletter recipients

Your email address will be deleted or anonymized for statistical purposes if you opt-out of receiving Odd Pup's newsletter. You can do this by clicking the opt-out link in each email or contacting Odd Pup to request to be unsubscribed.

Account Holders

Your name, email address, order history, and Instagram information will be deleted within one month of the deletion of your account.
